Scott M. Goldberg, Esq., a member of the Florida Bar, has been practicing law for nearly 10 years. Mr. Goldberg's practice areas include Entertainment Law, Intellectual Property Law and Business and Corporate Law. Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Mr. Goldberg graduated college from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, and then went on to attend St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami, Florida. After graduating law school, Mr. Goldberg obtained a Master of Laws Degree in Intellectual Property from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Goldberg graduated from the program, with honors, in such areas as Copyright Law, Entertainment Law, Trademark Law, Music Law, Intellectual Property Licensing, Trade Secrets Law and Internet Law. Mr. Goldberg’s experience in the entertainment industry includes: assisting with delivery legal requirements for the independent films The Blair Witch Project and The First of May (starring Julie Harris, Mickey Rooney, and Joe DiMaggio; and winner of 10 film festival awards including Best Picture and Award of Excellence); providing production legal and delivery services for the film Small Town Conspiracy; and providing production legal services for the films The Way Back Home (starring Julie Harris and Ruby Dee) and Missing in America (starring Danny Glover, Linda Hamilton, and Ron Perlman). Mr. Goldberg has also provided production legal services for the documentary film Silver Wings & Civil Rights: The Fight to Fly (a film about the Tuskegee Airmen, and winner for Best Documentary Feature at the Miami International Film Festival). A few of Mr. Goldberg’s current clients include the independent films The Tenant, CIS: Blakely, A Beautiful Belly, and the documentary film Boys of Summer. Mr. Goldberg also has worked for a number of years as in-house legal counsel for a multi-million dollar private equity company with over 60 subsidiary and affiliated entities which include portfolios such as; Professional Employment Organization, Real Estate, Construction, Software, Insurance Administration, Franchising, Media & Entertainment Production and Consulting Services. Mr. Goldberg has been a guest speaker for the film program at Valencia Community College in Orlando, Florida, has been a guest speaker for the Florida Motion Picture and Television Association, and has also been published in “Screen Talk Magazine” and “Script Magazine.”
